Why Join CEDA?
CEDA Members:
- Make a difference through leadership - CEDA membership provides the opportunity to join with local elected officials and private sector members to set the vision for, and guide the implementation of, regional economic development initiatives.
- Stay Informed - CEDA members are regularly informed about current and upcoming regional economic development initiatives and learning opportunities of interest to the member and those they serve.
- Network and Build Partnerships - CEDA members have the opportunity to broaden their networking base and to build partnerships that allow goals to be reached that may otherwise be unattainable.
- Invest in the Community - Time and money invested in CEDA activities, initiatives and/or programs provides individuals and organizations the opportunity to give back to their community via imporovement of the overall economic condition in the region.
Where does the membership money go?
Membership dues are an essential source of funding for the project development efforts undertaken by CEDA. For the most part, CEDA operations and staffing are funded via fees for services, such as project coordination, grant writing, grant administration, interest & fees earned on loans, etc. CEDA receives one small grant each year from EDA that is specifically designated toward compilation of the region's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.
How to become involved:
CEDA's organizational structure includes the Membership, a Board of Directors that is selected from the Membership, as well as numberous councils, committees, and workgroups. Members are encouraged to become involved by joining a council, committee or workgroup that addresses an area of interest to the individual member/ and or by serving on the CEDA Board of Directors.
