Who Is CEDA?

Mission: To assist business and communities by acting as a conduit to needed resources.

Vision: As the collective voice for North Central Idaho, Clearwater Economic Development Association provides leadership and guidance in developing communities, diversifying the economy, and creating prosperity.

Since 2000, CEDA has directly secured $60 million in financial resources for built infrastructure, projects, and programs, while leveraging $83 million in other investments.

The ability to foster and leverage networks and partner relationships is central to successful development in north central Idaho and improving the lives of the people who live there.

  • CEDA routinely provides planning and project development services to communities as well as referrals to other service and nonprofit organizations.
  • CEDA supports business start‐up, expansion, and retention through direct technical assistance and financing.
  • CEDA supports regional workforce development through direct employment and education programs for young people, and collaboration with area employers
  • CEDA’s primary aim is to improve the economic conditions and quality of life for the residents of north central Idaho.
  • CEDA is designated as the planning organization for the Clearwater Economic Development District by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA).  Designated by EDA in 1968, CEDA has the distinction of being the oldest continuously active Economic Development District west of the Mississippi.
